1. What is the size of this mini door controller?
Its size is 65L x 54W x 19H mm, very small and easy for installation.
2. How to wire a Wiegand reader to this mini door controller?
> Connect Ground: Connect the GND terminal on the reader to the GND terminal on the controller. This is the most common cause of failure.
Without a common ground, no data will transmit .
> Connect Data: Connect the D0 (Data 0) from the reader to the D0 on the controller. Connect D1 (Data 1) to D1 on the controller.
> Provide Power: Connect the reader's power +12V to the controller's power supply or a dedicated power source.
3. What is Wiegand and how does it work?
Wiegand is a wiring standard widely used in access control systems to connect card readers and controllers. It uses three core wires:
Data 0 (D0) : Transmits bits valued 0.
Data 1 (D1) : Transmits bits valued 1.
Ground (GND) : Provides a common ground reference.
Signals are transmitted as"Active Low"pulses. When idle, both data lines sit at a high voltage level (e.g., 5V or 12V). When a bit is sent, the corresponding line is pulled down to ground for a brief moment (typically 80-120 microseconds)
